Login into the Member Center

To login into the Member Center click on the SIGN IN button on the top left hand side of this page and follow these steps: 1) Enter your username; 2) Enter your password; 3) Click login. PLEASE NOTE: If you already have either a Gmail account or a Facebook account, you can login into the Member Center using your Gmail login details or your Facebook details.
In the Member Center's login page, enter your username, then click on "Forgot password" and follow the instructions on the screen to reset your password. PLEASE NOTE: the website utilises Cookies and can retain an old password in the history of your browser. Delete your browser history before resetting your password, then follow the procedure above. 
In the Member Center's login page, click on "Forgot username" and follow the instructions on the screen to reset your username. PLEASE NOTE: after switching to the new website, AAIS assigned to each member a username, which is the email associated to your AAIS account. If you did not login into the new Member Center and did not change your username, the latter is still the email associated to your AAIS account (same as WildApricot).
Delete the history of your browser and try again. If that does not solve the problem, reset your password and try again.
Yes. Login into the Member Center with your current credentials and go to My Account to edit your information on file.

 


Membership

To join AAIS, go to the home page, scroll to the middle of the page, click on the JOIN TODAY button on the right hand side, then follow these steps: 1) Enter your First Name, your Last Name, and the email you want to associate with your membership; 2) Follow instructions on the screen; 3) Complete the payment to complete your membership application. Your application is not complete without payment.
Yes. Go back the JOIN TODAY page, enter your First Name, Last Name, and email again (use the same email). The system will recognize your previous attempt and will guide you through completing the process. Follow instructions on the screen.
To renew your membership, login into the Member Center and follow these steps: 1) Click on "My Dues Renewal"; 2) Follow instructions on the screen to complete the payment. PLEASE NOTE: through the process, you will be presented with a list of amounts and you will see the tier that applies to you based on the income level on record (indicate as "approximate income level history on file.") Select this option if it still applies to you or enter a new amount in the box labelled as "No. Approx Income Level." Enter a value in digits without commas nor periods nor $ sign. For instance, for 60K enter 60000
Membership should be renewed during the month of January, but you can renew or join anytime during the year (January through December). If your membership is still active, you can only renew through the link you receive 30 or 14 days prior your paid through date. If your membership is lapsed, login into the Member Center, click on "My Dues Renewal," and follow instructions on the screen.
Yes, you can still login into the Member Center if your membership is lapsed. If you login between Jan 1 and Jan 31 (grace period), you will still enjoy all the membership benefits. After January 31, you will be allowed to see exclusively your profile and the area "My Dues Renewal." After renewing your membership, you will gain full access to the Member Center again.
Membership tiers can be found on the DUES page under the ABOUT US tab on the top bar menu. Scroll down for full list of prices. Membership can be renewed for 1 year, 2 years or 3 years. All options must be paid up front in full for the whole period.
Memberships are valid through December 31 of the year of the membership, regardless on when you join or renew your membership. For instance, if a membership is renewed in September, it will expire on December 31 of that same year (unless you opted for a 2- or a 3-year membership).
If your membership has been lapsed for more than 4 years, please contact us to reactivate your account. Go to the Contact AAIS page under About us, from the top bar menu and send us a message.
To see your payment history, login into the Member Center and click on the "My Payment History" tile on the Member Center main page or select the area from the menu on the left hand side.
To enable or disable the auto-payment, login into the Member Center and click on the "Auto Dues Renewal" tile on the Member Center main page or select the area from the menu on the left hand side. Then click on the "enable" or "disable" button.
Please check with your bank whether your online payments have been flagged or if there is any other issues with your credit or debit card. We are enable to resolve transaction issues related to your credit or debit card.
404 error messages are generated when you try to reach a personal page from an improper link. It often occurs when trying to renew your dues. If your membership is still active, and you want to pay your dues for the upcoming year, make sure to click on the proper link in the renewal email you receive from the system 30 or 14 days prior the paid through date. Then proceed to renewal.

 


Events, Awards, and Annual Conference

Information about an upcoming event can be found under the Event and Initiatives tab on the top bar menu, or on the home page.
Information about the AAIS Annual Conference can be found under the Conference tab on the top bar menu, or on the home page.
Information about the AAIS awards can be found under the Awards tab under the Event and Initiatives menu on the top bar menu, or on the home page.
Online events have a registration page that opens when the date of the event approaches. When available, the registration page can be reached from the home page or from the event page under the Event and Initiatives menu on the top bar.
If registration is open, go to the home page and click on the event announcement on the right hand side (scroll to the middle of the page), or go to the event page by selecting the proper tab from the top bar menu. If registration is not open, wait until the registration button appears on the event page, then register. Your membership must be active in order to register.
If you registered for an event through the AAIS website, a certificate of attendance can be found under the "My Certificate of Attendance" in the Member Center.
Yes, AAIS events are for active members. To join AAIS go to the home page and click on the JOIN TODAY button in the Membership section; to renew your membership login into the Member Center.

Donations

Go to the home page, scroll to the middle of the page and click to the DONATE NOW button. In the next page, select the fund to donate to and follow instructions on the screen.
Yes. Follow instructions on the previous section. Once you entered the first donation, you will see an "Add Another Donation" button and you can repeat the process.
Yes. You will find the donation button after you have completed the selection for the membership dues.

Refunds

Yes. Please contact us to confirm the import and the circumstances, and if necessary, we will process a refund. Please consider that for reasons out of AAIS control, a refund might take up to two weeks to appear on your bank statement.
If we confirmed the refund, please check with your bank to make sure money is on the way. AAIS transactions are processed via Stripe, we have no control over how long the refund will take.
If you are not sure about a payment, please contact us before processing the payment. This will avoid processing a refund, which might take up to two or more weeks.

Posting an announcement on the AAIS website

Announcements can be posted in the Member Center under the sections Listings, Message Board or Job Board. LISTINGS: to post calls for papers (for AAIS Conference or other conferences); publications; announcements, and more. Once in the Listings area click on "Get Listings" to see all the announcements or browse them by category by using the drop down menu at the top of the page. JOB BOARD: to post a job announcement or to browse the list of job opportunities. Follow the instructions on the screen. MESSAGE BOARD: to message with other members or to reply to their messages. Follow the instructions on the screen.
You find detailed instructions on how to post under the "Documents" area in the Member Center. Click on the grey icon next to the "magnifying glass" icon (search) and select the file with instructions that applies to your case.
Yes. You have to be an active member to access the announcement areas.
No. Please be careful about publishing a correct announcement. See instructions on how to post an announcement.
Announcements are visible to all active members when they login into the Member Center and are published in the AAIS weekly newsletter.

 


Communications and ITALIAN CULTURE Journal

The AAIS weekly newsletter and other communications are for members. Once you join AAIS, you will receive the newsletter and all the communications.
Login into the Member Center, go to "My Account," scroll to the middle of the page and check the box "Opt Out of Emails."
Login into the Member Center, go to the "Communications and Newsletter" area and you will find all the communications sent to you.
When you renew your membership or you start a new membership, you can opt in to receive a paper copy of the journal for an additional fee. The online access to the paper is included in your membership.
